Margo Price Leads New SXSW Talent List

Soulful country crossover star Margo Price has signed on to showcase at South by Southwest. Joining her on this week’s announcement are catchy cooing rockers Broncho, upbeat Mexo-Americana folk combo David Wax Museum, and ATL pussy power rapper Yung Baby Tate.

Jesse Colin Young, author of the Youngbloods’ eternal Sixties anthem “Get Together” and “Darkness, Darkness,” which Robert Plant covered, also appears at SXSW’s Music week, March 16-22. So does lyrically dominant London rapper Shygirl, highly original Americana vocalist Sierra Ferrell, ultra-intelligent underground rapper Sammus, Australian pop act Banoffee, plus onetime Saturday Night Live bandleader G.E. Smith and multi-instrumentalist/singer LeRoy Bell debuting their new collaboration Stony Hill.

Also on deck for the March mega conference: Italian electronic swing act SwinGrowers, Atlanta rapper/singer Tony Velour, and Sweden-based reggaeton producer Talisto.

Meanwhile, Austin’s fertile scene continues to populate SX’s talent lists with artists both established and emerging.
